For more than 28 years, Attorney Layne has been a licensed and practicing attorney in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, providing clients with experienced, strategic, and determined legal representation across a broad range of matters.
Throughout his career, Attorney Layne has appeared before the Massachusetts District, Superior, Federal, Land, Housing, and Probate and Family Courts. He has also represented clients before numerous administrative agencies and boards, including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), municipal boards, and various state licensing authorities.
Attorney Layne brings a diverse and accomplished background to every matter he handles. His experience encompasses real estate transactions, contractual negotiations, civil and criminal litigation, trial advocacy, and international transactional business matters. A substantial part of his practice is devoted to real estate and contractual matters, where his ability to anticipate problems, negotiate effectively, and develop practical solutions can be invaluable to his clients.

Determination Beyond the Courtroom
Attorney Layne's perseverance and competitive spirit extend well beyond his legal career. In the summer of 2009, he and his wife competed against approximately 15,000 applicant teams seeking a place on CBS's award-winning reality television series The Amazing Race. They were ultimately selected as one of only 12 teams to compete on The Amazing Race 15.
The experience was a fitting reflection of qualities that have defined Attorney Layne throughout his professional career—determination, resilience, strategic thinking, and the willingness to take on a challenge when the odds are against him.
